Giving Back

To me giving back is a vital key that most of us who have served in the military know all too well. I am amazed at the Marines, soldiers, sailors, airman and coastguardsman that I meet who were once willing to give their life for their country and they are still willing to give today. That is the heart of a warrior. A true warrior does not think of himself the way he thinks of others. The best warriors I ever knew could go all out at 120% because the mission was bigger than they were.

With Soldier’s Wish it is sometimes difficult to find out the needs of our military men and women because none of them ever ask for help. I have seen soldier’s with no legs and only one arm who would ask, “What can I do to help”. It is a very humbling experience just being in the presence of such great individuals.

I am proud to do what I do and it is one of the most rewarding experiences of my life. Be a giver, give of yourself to others and consider others of more value than yourself. Semper Fi Warriors!
